Abstract

We consider the requirements for switchgear of ultra-high and super-high voltage AC. Particular attention is paid to the characteristics of distribution devices ultrahigh voltage, which can not be linearly extrapolated based on similar characteristics obtained for a lower voltage. For switches such characteristics are: the coefficient of the first blanking pole, crest factor, time to reach peak to determine the envelope of recovery voltage, the wave resistance of the air line, damping and refraction of traveling waves, short-circuit in long lines, limited transformer fault, the initial the recovery voltage, the influence of parallel and series compensation. For busbar disconnectors are considered preliminary and moldable currents, as well as ultra-fast transient overvoltage. Furthermore allocated earthing switches designed to interrupt the currents induced in the line, and high-speed grounding switches.
