Synthesis of STATCOM Control Algorithm Based on Linear Matrix Inequalities

Abstract


Is examined the method of the synthesis of control of power system with the devices FACTS for the purpose of oscillation damping of the overflows of power. The synthesis of the transfer function of the regulator of power system on the basis of the STATCOM, which ensures the required degree of damping of the fluctuations of the overflows of power, is achieved on the basis of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). In the case of the regulators of complete order the synthesis is reduced to the solution only of LMI, while in the case of the regulator of the lowered order - to the search for two mutually-reverse matrices.
