Investigation of the Electrode Extension on the Welding-Technological Characteristics of Pulsed Arc Welding with Cored Wire

Abstract


 The results of investigations of the process of pulsed-arc welding with cored wire with an increased reach are presented. It is shown that the nature of the formation of droplets with an increase in the emission of the electrode changes due to a change in the pulsed control of the arc. Based on the analysis of the results of oscillography, the cause of this phenomenon has been established. The range of parameters at which stable pulse control of the process is provided is determined. In this range the combination of increased Flow rate of the process and the high stability of the arc
