Abstract

Results of research of morphology of a surface of corundum after a microscratching are given in VT1-00 titanium alloy air at a speed of 35 m/s with initial depth of 15 microns. Researches of a status of a relief of a surface are executed on an electron microscope of Versa 3D with increase 1000-50000?. It is shown that the site of wear of corundum is covered with a layer of the stuck titanium. At separate sections are present rather big stick titanium about 1 micron thick that is set when shooting at an angle. After etching away of the stuck metal the grid of microcracks is visible, especially in case of increase 20000-30000?. The method of the ion etching received a transverse section around a crack. It is shown that the crack extends at an angle to a surface on depth of 2-3 microns. The wear site when shooting perpendicular to a surface looks smooth. When shooting the longitudinal wavy bands matching the direction of movement are at an angle visible. In separate sections of a site there are the small dimples testifying to the beginning of process of a chipping. The greatest corruptings arise from an input in metal. In case of increase in cycles of incision the zone of a chipping extends to final fracture of a site of wear.
