The Algorithm of Diesel Engine Diagnosing by Starter Current Parameters

Abstract


Measurement of diesel engine starting current parameters gives large information quantity about his technical condition, but often diagnosing by this method has low reliability. So it is necessary to apply special algorithm  for more accurate and informative diagnose, its essence is considered in this article. The proposed algorithm is based on the specifics of the diesel starting or revolution without fuel delivery. For the discussion of diagnostic signs, determined the optimal sequence of analysis. Noted that in the first stage, the best results are achieved for the four-cylinder diesel engines, volume 2.5...5.2 l, and  the reliability of the diagnosis when applying the algorithm increases to 84% and more.
