Improving the Speed Control System of the Main Drive of the Rolling Mill

The limitation and elimination of dynamic loads that arise during the metal biting. The occurrence of a large dynamic load leads to high-frequency oscillations. It is the reason for the high crashes of the rolling stand and the high cost of equipment leads to the steep losses. In this article, the causes of the shock load at metal biting are analyzed. A block diagram of the speed control system of rolling stand of 5000 MMK (Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works) is given. The eliminating mode is shown. A mathematical model of the intellectual power-up sensor is developed on the basis of which a structural scheme is constructed. The curves of the transient processes of the torque are given.
