Abstract

The results of comparison the level of higher harmonics industrial current and variation of Earth magnetic field are led on the example of local power grid of Kamchatka. It is shown a degree of correlation designated processes defined topological and construction parameters of electric systems. Modeling geomagnetically induced currents have been done for the part of Kamchatka’s power grid. Line from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy to the settlement Ribachiy with length equal to 105 km, have been taken as the object of modeling. Since power line is characterized of distribution parameters such as capacity, inductivity and resistance, assessment of its resonance properties has been done.  The comparison of modeling results and experimental data of variation of high harmonics of industrial current has been done. Comparison of our results and data of geomagnetically induced currents measurement of the USA power grid in similar geomagnetic conditions has been done.
